Social activity at Atlanta
Bible College is planned to provide for fellowship needs.
The Social Activities Board plans social activities of
various kinds throughout the year, including picnics,
parties, skiing trips, and banquets. An active sports
program is maintained through basketball, volleyball, and
various individual sports. Fellowship gatherings also are
sponsored by the faculty in their homes.
College gospel teams minister
to churches and conferences as the college program permits.
Trip expenses are met by freewill offerings and will remain
on a faith basis as the Lord provides. This is an important
way for the college to keep in spiritual contact with the
churches, and serving on gospel teams is a vital help in
Christian growth and service. M135 is offered for credit.
ABC believes that the development of a student's spiritual
life is vital. Graduation from ABC is based upon not only
academic preparation, but also spiritual preparation for
ministry. It is not possible to succeed in ministry without
adequate spiritual preparation. Students are urged to
establish a quiet time of unhurried Bible reading, prayer,
and fellowship with God.
Small discipling groups of students and staff meet weekly to
encourage each other and hold each other accountable for
spiritual growth. The focus will be prayer, accountability,
study and service (P.A.S.S.). Staff and students are to pray
for each other, hold each other accountable to Christian
values, study the Word, and review each other's service in
ministry and how that may be enhanced.
