A ten-unit apartment building is available on the college campus
for the use of Bible College students. An individual must be
registered in our academic program in order to secure housing. (See catalog.)
Freshman students will be required to live in our apartment
building. Full-time students will have first preference for housing
in our apartments.
Campus housing is available to all students who are registered
for more than six credits, plus satisfactory participation in
Christian Life/Service. The six credits may be a combination of ABC
and Clayton courses provided at least two ABC courses (a minimum of
four credit hours) are taken per semester, along with participation
in Christian Life/Service requirements. Exceptions to the number of
credit hours may be made by the staff for upperclassmen (above the
sophomore level) who are involved in a regular program of study. All
single students under the age of 22 are required to live in the
campus apartment building if their parents do not live in the area.
A $100 security deposit per single student is required.
Learning to live harmoniously
in close fellowship with others is valuable training for church
ministries, missionary service, marriage and all interpersonal
relationships. A major goal of every student should be the
development of Christian love expressed in caring, consideration,
acceptance and unselfishness. Residents of the building will be
encouraged to meet together weekly for a devotional time. A resident
manager will oversee the apartment building and handle maintenance
needs. The apartments will be regularly inspected to review
maintenance needs and to make sure that apartments are being
properly maintained and cleaned.
Rental
rates are $1,045 per person per semester based on two people to a
bedroom or $1,575 per person per semester based on one person in a
bedroom (if available).
Gas,
electricity and garbage pick up are included in the rent.
The renter will be responsible for telephone hook up and
fees.
To
secure an apartment, a deposit of $150 ($100 rental/$50 keys) must
be paid up front on a first come, first served basis.
New housing requests will be honored on a first come, first
served basis if received (along with $150 deposit) by June 1.
Room availability will not be guaranteed after June 1.
Before moving into the apartment building 50% (if on the
deferred plan) or 100% of total semester charges must be paid.
Each
apartment is furnished with stove, refrigerator, twin beds,
dressers, desks and desk chairs, and kitchen table and chairs.
You
may bring living room furniture:
couch, chair, stereo, tv, etc.
Please follow a few courtesy rules and consider the Christian
atmosphere we are trying to maintain.
Single
students under the age of 22 whose parents do not live in the
immediate area are required to live in our apartment building.
Students not enrolling for the next semester, or students
removed from school, will be asked to vacate the apartment building
within 72 hours.
