This is a fundamental course on the Old Testament. It assumes that you know little or nothing about the Old Testament except a few popular stories from T.V. or Sunday School. It is both an overview of the Bible as well as the beginning of a progression that will hopefully bring you to a greater understanding of God, His word, both written and living, Jesus himself, and that you will come to a full understanding of Jesus, full of grace and truth. Rather than "old" testament, one might refer to these books as the Hebrew Bible. It is the portion that Jesus referred to and quoted from.

TERMINAL COURSE OBJECTIVES:

1. Ezra- Malachi

2. Formulate the Main Story Line

3. Know Most of the Main Characters

4. Review and understand a Time Line with about 20 References

5. Review the Old Testament some of its Jewish Perspective.

6. Encourage the memorization of certain Key Verses (see syllabus)

7. Review Geography of the Bible as appropriate

8. To attempt to help you feel the Awe, Depth, and Love of God from Scripture

Get the story line of what God is doing. Know the people, families, places and plot because it is what God is using to eventually bring us the Messiah and rescue us from this present evil age.
